Due to all the horrible sleazy spam I've been getting lately only people who are members of my blog can make any comments from now on. Hope this doesn't inconvenience anyone too much!
My place for crafty ideas, musings, links to my friends and my favourite websites - but mainly dedicated to all things crafty.

In the meantime ...
Here is the shadow box I've been working on. I cut the pieces out using my robo, spent quite a while putting it together, then decorated it. See if you can spot the real cats whisker! There is no prize though I'm afraid. I really enjoyed making this and its a great way to display the little 'bits and pieces' we seem to accumulate.
New Project Update!
Really happy with the results so far but you will have to wait a little longer for the finished items!

New project idea!
I have come up with another project which can be made from mountboard, or any other thick card for that matter! No clues as to what it is yet, I need to make a prototype and iron out any crinkles but 'watch this space' as they say.
And by the way, my Cupcake Stand design is the latest project at Cardmaking Paradise! I was soooo excited when Sara said she'd like it for a project. Check it out and just look at the cakes she put on them, especially the scrummy looking merangue one ...... my favourite!

Sorry!
Sorry there is nothing new to see at the moment, I really must take some pictures of the things I have been doing and pop them on here.

Dressmakers Form Card
And yet another card made from one of Sara's templates, please go and check out Cardmaking Paradise for THE place to be!
As soon as I saw the template I just thought LBD! How could it be anything else? I blinged up the bodice with gold paint and then gold glittler glue to really make it sparkle. This is a gorgeous project, you do need to be very careful cutting the legs out but its worth it, it makes such a great card.

Bird Box Card
Another card using the lovely bird box template from Sara at Cardmaking Paradise
I went for soft colours on the box but made the bird bright using Lumiere Paints, somehow I kept thinking 'blue bird of happiness' when I was painting it!

Mother's Day Card
I made this year's Mother's Day card using the wonderful template from Crafting Paradise designed by the very clever Sara - please go and check out the site and come and join us for lots of crafty fun!
I printed out the template onto white pearlescent cardstock and added the purple/pink colour with my Lumiere Paints and the letters are painted with a gold one. It's really hard to see the shimmery effect on a photo but it does look lovely when it catches the light I promise! I added some tiny stamps and just added glossy accents to them and a little glitter glue to the ones on the actual letters, I didn't want to overdo the decoration on this because sometimes I can't seem to stop decorating! There is a gorgeous little box to make for the card to 'concertina' up and fit inside but as I wanted to add some chocs I made a larger box so there would be room for them and to make it into a card and a gift all in one! The box is just some pink cardstock I already had and embellished with the little stamps.

Cupcake Stands
The china ones are so pretty and seem to be everywhere in the shops now but they are quite expensive. I wondered if it would be possible to make some from thick card. It was and now I cant stop making them! There are so many ways to decorate them too. With a good coat of varnish on the top they should be pretty hardwearing and shouldn't get any greasy smudges on them. Of course, you don't have to put cakes on them, they can be very pretty in their own right too!
