Arty Girlz Weekly Challenge

This weeks challenge had the theme of 'doodling' but as I am useless with a pen and my doodling tends to look like a spider with inky feet has walked across the page I have used the computer to do my doodling for me. I used a swirly image from one of DAISIE Company's packs and recoloured it, then I copied it over and over again to create my 'doodles'. The wording is from the Stampin Up set, Sincere Salutations which I stamped with Versamark and embossed with silver embossing powder. The little dragonfly is actually a silver charm but it loks gold on here for some reason! I hope this type of doodling is acceptable for the challenge.

Papertake Weekly Challenge - Squares

Here is my effort for the Papertake Weekly Challenge which was 'Squares'. Thanks to Claudia for including the instructions on how to make the square, dimensional part of the card and for setting such a great challenge. Mine doesn't show up that well in the first photo but the second one shows the dimension a bit better I think! I used downloads from Daisie Company (Kathy Hatch's Ooh La La design) which is lovely - I just love that pink and black together. As the the theme, the card itself is square, the middle section is square and I made a square frame around the inner section so hopefully that fulfills the brief!

Another Card!

Yet another family birthday this month - and still one more to go! This is a card I made for my Aunt who loves gardening. Again I have been haunting the DAISIE Company site for more downloads, it just has such lovely stuff. I used their papers on the outside and on the inside I used a paper from the Butterfly Bliss CD. I put the wording onto vellum and fixed it with four tiny brads. I've just posted it so lets hope that it arrives in time!

Birthday Card

Here is the card I made for my niece who was two today! I used images from DAISIE Company and printed it onto 350g pearlescent white card and then added glitter to add to the general sparkliness of the card LOL.

Its a bit difficult to see the inside as the flash from the camera 'glared' a bit but you should get the general idea.

Digital Scrapbooking

To cheer myself up a bit I have been going through old photo's and putting them onto the computer and because I have been downloading a lot of Christmas stuff from DAISIE Company I decided to have a go at some digital scrapbooking and this is one of my pages. I did all the Christmas's since my son was born and really enjoyed doing it too. To satisfy the 'paper fiddler' in me I did add some bits and pieces to the pages before I put them in the album but I have to say that I did find it really satisfying doing it on the computer.

If you are thinking of having a go then I would recommend it. Go and have a look at DAISIE Company (link on the right) for inspiration.

Where does the time go .....

How time flies when you are having fun! I've been making more christmas cards and having so much fun doing it! I've attached a couple of pictures of the cards I have been doing this week. I have made several of each design so I hope I can sell at least a few!

The ribbon on this card came from Tesco's of all places, I bought loads because it was so cheap!

This one is only an A6 size but looks really pretty, I used a rubber stamp of a christmas tree and then used Sakura pens with the water brush to colour in some of the tree - it shows up better in real life than in the photo though.

I used a Bookatrix page on this card, which I thought looked very effective, together with some embellishments from the Anna Griffin Christmas box which I bought from QVC a month or two ago. The box is gorgeous too - lol.

I also made a load of lovely gift boxes using the designs by Gina Jane Johnson from Daisie Company which are really nice - I've been visiting the site quite a lot recently, oops - lol, and I am hoping that after Christmas I will be doing a lot of digital scrapbooking - well I have to justify buying all that stuff somehow - lol.

I've now received my lovely Papertake Challenge kit from Kym which is great, I can't wait to get started on it but as I have a whole load of family descending on me today it will have to wait until tomorrow. I've been baking all morning and the house smells wonderful - none for me though as I still have to lose a bit more weight before Christmas!
